Softball Game Preview: Westwood Warriors vs. Skyline Coyotes

The Westwood Warriors will head out to challenge the Skyline Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westwood is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Westwood came up short against Mesa and fell 21-16. Even if the Warriors couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, Skyline fell victim to Gila Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 16-0 to the Hawks. The defeat continues a trend for the Coyotes in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.

Westwood took their win against Skyline in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 16-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
