Basketball Recap: Norwalk Picks Up 12th Straight Win on the Road

Norwalk had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They blew past the Huron Tigers 53-25. Given the Truckers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Tigers are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norwalk's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Huron, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9.

Norwalk will head out on the road to square off against Columbian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Huron, they will face off against Margaretta at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Margaretta will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Huron surely won't give up without a fight.
