Basketball Recap: Capitol Encore Academy Takes a Loss

Capitol Encore Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 66-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fayetteville O Outliers. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Outliers earlier this season, when they won 65-44.

Anthony Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fayetteville O, going 11 of 20 on his way to 28 points. Another player making a difference was Gage McGirt, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Capitol Encore Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Fayetteville O, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-12 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capitol Encore Academy will venture away from home to square off against Howard at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fayetteville O, they are taking a road trip to face off against Covenant C at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
