Meanwhile, Hampton can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They put the hurt on McDonough with a sharp 7-3 win. The win was just what Hampton needed coming off of a 5-2 defeat in their prior match.
Lovejoy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Hampton, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Lovejoy took their win against Hampton when the teams last played back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lovejoy since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
