Hope Christian extended the longest winning streak in Alabama Christian (8 Man) this week by beating Evangel Family Christian Academy, 54-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Eagles.
Nate Scott was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 77 yards on seven carries as Evangel Christian topped Ballard Christian. Teammate Baggett added to the ground attack by rushing for 30 yards.
Baggett was the best wideout in the league this week as the Lightning defeated Ballard Christian. Baggett tallied two receptions for 97 yards. Grant Webster helped Evangel Christian's passing attack out by catching one ball for 18 yards.
Dillon Thompson put up the best numbers through the air as Hope Christian beat the Saints. He finished with a total of seven completions for 117 yards and four touchdowns. Thompson's favorite target this week was Charles Streets, who caught four passes for 68 yards.
Evangel Christian's Andrew Thompson and Pete Sullivan have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Alabama Christian (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Thompson has thrown for 622 yards this season, while Sullivan, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has eight catches for 242 yards. Reid Allen from Tony Nafe's team leads the league in rushing with 339 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Wiregrass and the Eagles. The Kings comes into the matchup ranked 13th in the state, while Hope Christian ranks second.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Eagles take on Wiregrass. Hope Christian's offense has racked up 236 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Travis Sawyers's team has allowed only 189 on the year.
The Eagles led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Evangel Family Christian Academy. Thompson ran for 42 yards in the win.
