Football Game Preview: Windsor Jaguars vs. Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles + How To Watch

The Windsor Jaguars will head out to challenge the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

It was a proper cat-fight when Windsor faced off against Marin Catholic on Friday. The Jaguars were just a hair shy of victory and fell 28-27 to the Wildcats. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Windsor got top-tier performance from Blayke Ferronato, who picked up 144 receiving yards and two scores. Ferronato also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making three total tackles.

Meanwhile, Clayton Valley Charter suffered their biggest defeat since August 29th on Friday. They had to suffer through a 47-15 loss at the hands of De La Salle. The loss continues a trend for the Ugly Eagles in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the defeat, Clayton Valley Charter saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nolan Lopez threw for 232 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 passes. Lopez's passing game has become a key predictor of the Ugly Eagles' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 3-4 otherwise.

Windsor's record now sits at 6-4. As for Clayton Valley Charter, their record is now 5-5.

Windsor was dealt a bruising 52-6 loss at the hands of Clayton Valley Charter in their previous meeting back in November of 2015. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
