Softball Game Preview: Forestview Jaguars vs. Cherryville Ironmen

The Forestview Jaguars will challenge the Cherryville Ironmen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Forestview came up short against East Gaston and fell 8-3.

Lily Cabe made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Baker, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Cherryville might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Chase who claimed the real prize. Cherryville fell 6-3 to Chase.

Emma Proctor was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kate Mulvey, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Cherryville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Forestview, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
