Crestview lost against Newton Falls back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crestview Rebels took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newton Falls Tigers. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Crestview lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyler Savage, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 16 points. Savage continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Best, who posted six points in addition to five assists and five steals.
Landon McGregor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Newton Falls, going 6 for 8 en route to 15 points along with seven boards and five assists. McGregor has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Carson Howard also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Crestview's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Newton Falls, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Crestview has already played their next game, a 58-38 victory against Champion on the 31st. As for Newton Falls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-49 win against Garfield on the 31st.
