Soccer Recap: Richlands Takes a Loss

Richlands managed to keep up with Virginia High until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Blue Tornado lost 5-1 to the Bearcats. The defeat continues a trend for Richlands in their meetings with Virginia High: they've now lost four in a row.

Richlands' goal came courtesy of Aubreigh Compton, who's now up to two this season.

Richlands' loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Virginia High, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Richlands didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-1 victory against Tazewell on the 24th. As for Virginia High, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-2 win against John Battle on the 23rd.
