Baseball Recap: West Monona Takes a Loss

West Monona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Lawton-Bronson Eagles, falling 17-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in May.

West Monona's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Lawton-Bronson, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Monona is set to square off against their familiar foe Woodbury Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lawton-Bronson will challenge rival Kingsley-Pierson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
