Basketball Recap: Rocky Mount Prep Starts off Right with Win over Hobgood Charter

Rocky Mount Prep had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 64-48 win over the Hobgood Charter Raiders.

Hobgood Charter's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Armanti Alston, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards, and Khrie Rascoe, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Tutor, who scored three points and three steals.

Hobgood Charter now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Rocky Mount Prep and Hobgood Charter will both be playing Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy the next time they take the court. The Jaguars will head out to face the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
