Volleyball Recap: Pocono Mountain East Wins Going Away Against Valley View

Pocono Mountain East won the last time they faced Valley View and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-9.

Valley View's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Layla Marino, who had eight digs. Another player making a difference was Hanarra Semedo-Timas, who had seven kills, three digs, and one block.

Pocono Mountain East's win bumped their record up to 8-6-1. As for Valley View, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Pocono Mountain East will face off against East Stroudsburg South at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley View, they will challenge Crestwood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
