Austin Prep had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt King on Saturday. The Cougars blew past the Vikings 9-1. Considering the Cougars have won ten contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Austin Prep's third in a row) raised their record to 13-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for King, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austin Prep will face off against Mount St. Charles Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for King, they will square off against Hopkins at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
