Basketball Recap: Maritime Academy Charter Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jermaine Boone-Williams and Jadin Aviles

Maritime Academy Charter lost against Martin Luther King back in February of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs took a 44-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Martin Luther King Cougars. The Seadogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maritime Academy Charter's loss came despite strong showings from Jadin Aviles and Jermaine Boone-Williams. Aviles went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points, while Boone-Williams posted ten points. Boone-Williams has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Jayriel Arroyo was another key player, putting up three points and five steals.

Maritime Academy Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Martin Luther King, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Maritime Academy Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-57 win against Sayre on the 30th. As for Martin Luther King, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-31 loss against Roxborough on the 30th.
