Bagdad extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Thursday, bumping them up to 4-0. They enjoyed a cozy 56-42 win over the Ray Bearcats. For the Sultans, this counts as revenge for the 60-31 victory the Bearcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ray fell to 3-1. The loss was their first of the season.

Logan Rice and Chase Chester certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Rice dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards, while Chester shot 54% from the field on his way to 18 points. Rice is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last three games he's played. Seth Wade was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.

Bagdad has already played their next contest, a 45-18 win against Ash Fork on the 5th. As for Ray, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-30 victory against Fredonia on the 4th.
