Volleyball Recap: Oswego East Wolves vs. Joliet West Tigers

Oswego East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Joliet West Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20.

Mia Stanley paced Oswego East's offense, picking up seven kills. Stanley got some help from Riley Trefny and her eight assists. Finally, Tori Vlcek kept Oswego East's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Oswego East's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Joliet West, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season.
