Football Game Preview: Herndon Hornets vs. McLean Highlanders + How To Watch

The Herndon Hornets will take on the McLean Highlanders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. McLean took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Herndon, who comes in off a win.

Herndon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They skirted past South Lakes 23-20.

Meanwhile, McLean fought the good fight in their overtime game against Robinson on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 31-28. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Herndon's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for McLean, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Herndon against McLean when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 30-0 victory. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
