Football Recap: Christoval Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Christoval and Cisco squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Christoval had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 62-0 loss at the hands of the Loboes. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 998th, while the Loboes are ranked 281st).

Ty Debusk threw for 74 yards on 17 of 28 attempts.

Cisco found their leader in sophomore Colby McIlroy, who threw for 110 yards and three TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Christoval is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7. As for Cisco, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Christoval does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cisco, they will challenge Panhandle at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. The Loboes will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
