Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Raymond/South Bend's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, Raymond/South Bend's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forks Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Spartans are ranked 123rd).

Despite the loss, Raymond/South Bend still got an impressive performance from Chris Quintana, who posted 31 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Quintana a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Morris, who earned five points and 12 boards.

Raymond/South Bend's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10. As for Forks, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing North Beach the next time they take the court. Raymond/South Bend will head out to face North Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Forks will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
