Tennessee commit Kaidon Salter leads No. 33 Cedar Hill to 49-42 win over No. 25 DeSoto in Texas high school football showdown.

This week's action started with an upset as No. 49 Tompkins (Katy, Texas) beat No. 6 Katy (Texas) 24-19. Alabama-bound quarterback Jalen Milroe connected with Joshua McMillan for three scores as the Falcons beat the Tigers for the first time in school history.

The Tompkins win snapped a 75-game district win streak by Katy dating back to Nov. 8 2008.

Another Top 10 team went down this week as No. 26 Colquitt County (Moultrie, Ga.) rolled to a dominant 40-10 win over No. 7 Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.). Expect the Packers to make a big jump into the MaxPreps Top 25 rankings on Monday. They are now 6-0 on the season and winning by more than 30 points per game.

Tennessee-bound quarterback Kaidon Salter had a monster night for No. 33 Cedar Hill (Texas) as they knocked off No. 25 DeSoto (Texas) 49-42 in the "Battle of Beltline". The 4-star gun-slinger accounted for nearly 400 yards of total offense and six touchdowns. Up next for the Longhorns is No. 11 Duncanville (Texas) who beat Midway (Waco) 74-21.

The Ohio Division 1 state championship is set as No. 15 Pickerington Central (Pickerington) and No. 34 St. Xavier (Cincinnati) both won. The Tigers beat No. 35 Mentor 38-31 to advance to the state title game and will be going for their third championship since 2017.

The Bombers won a defensive battle against Springfield, 12-10. This is the first time the Cincinnati power will be playing in the state championship game since they won it all in 2016.

In the Ohio Division 2 bracket No. 20 Archbishop Hoban (Akron) and No. 38 Washington (Massillon) both punched their tickets to the semifinals.

No. 8 Corner Canyon (Draper) continue to light up the scoreboard and rolled past Bingham (South Jordan) 57-22 to advance to the Utah 6A state semifinals. Jaxson Dart threw for five scores in the win and tied former Lehi standout Cammon Cooper's state record of 58 passing touchdowns in a season.

No. 30 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) beat No. 28 American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.) 33-23 on ESPN2 to finish the regular season 3-1. The Raiders defense scored three defensive touchdowns in the victory.
