There's no place like home for Lapeer, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Saginaw Trojans on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lightning in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-5.

Lapeer found their leader in sophomore Elizabeth Fisher, who had seven aces and five kills. Fisher has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Lapeer was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Lapeer's victory bumped their record up to 7-13-1. As for Saginaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Lapeer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Davison on the 2nd. As for Saginaw, they will face off against Powers Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th.
