Basketball Recap: Carlisle Skates Past Altoona with Ease

There's no place like home for Carlisle, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Altoona Mountain Lions 79-37 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thundering Herd also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Carlisle's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2. As for Altoona, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Carlisle and State College will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Altoona will take on Chambersburg in a holiday battle at at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Chambersburg knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Altoona likes a good challenge.
