Preview: Chetopa Hornets vs. Yates Center Wildcats
Chetopa is 0-7 against Yates Center since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Chetopa Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yates Center Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 26 consecutive losses for Chetopa and 14 for Yates Center.
On Friday, Chetopa took a serious blow against Altoona-Midway, falling 69-31. Chetopa has not had much luck with Altoona-Midway recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Yates Center came up short against Cherryvale on Friday and fell 48-41.
Chetopa bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.3 points per game. As for Yates Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
