            Softball Recap: Ridgefield Park Scarlets vs. Leonia Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Ridgefield Park put another one in the bag  on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  an   8-7 W against the Leonia Lions.
  Mia Monteleone was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while going 1-for-4. Monteleone is  crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: she's   snagged at least one every time she's  taken the field this season.  Ivana Capurso was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.

Ridgefield Park pushed their record up to 3-0 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Leonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Ridgefield Park and Leonia will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Scarlets will  face off against  rival Fort Lee  at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Leonia is set to  take on  their familiar foe Ridgefield Memorial  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
