Basketball Recap: Jah'morris Shakur Key Part of a Team Effort in Titans Win

Antelope won the last time they faced Davis Sr. and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went the Antelope Titans' way against the Davis Sr. Blue Devils as the Antelope Titans made off with an 81-61 victory. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Antelope's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jah'Morris Shakur, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Shakur a new career-high in assists (seven). Another player making a difference was Malichai Brown, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points.

Antelope was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Davis Sr. only racked up 16 assists.

Davis Sr.'s defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamie MacDonald, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. MacDonald continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhys Crawford, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Antelope has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Davis Sr., their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Antelope didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 86-50 victory against Del Oro on the 14th. As for Davis Sr., they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 80-75 win against Roseville on the 14th.
