Basketball Recap: Wootton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wootton had won two straight games and Chase Mitchell did his part to make it three on Wednesday. The Wootton Patriots came out on top against the Rockville Rams by a score of 54-42 thanks in part to Mitchell, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 26 points and six assists. Those 26 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brenden Famulare, who posted four points along with seven boards and five assists. Famulare is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Wootton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Rockville, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Wootton will venture away from home to take on Churchill at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockville, they will welcome Magruder at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Rockville is facing Magruder at the right time seeing as Magruder is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
