Baseball Recap: Clearwater Comes Up Short

Clearwater fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Palm Harbor University on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes by a score of 11-10. The defeat continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost six in a row.

Clearwater saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Woodring, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another was Jackson King, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Clearwater's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Palm Harbor University, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Clearwater has already played their next matchup, an 8-1 victory against Middleton on the 13th. As for Palm Harbor University, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-3 win against Boca Ciega on the 13th.
