Basketball Recap: Ruby Hill and Emily Dana Secure Win for Star Valley

Star Valley hadn't done well against Natrona County recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Star Valley Braves walked away with a 41-28 win over the Natrona County Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Star Valley was led to victory by Emily Dana and Ruby Hill. Dana posted ten points and eight rebounds, while Hill earned six points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Hill a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Torrie White, who scored four points.

Star Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Star Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points over those games. As for Natrona County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Coming up, Star Valley will challenge Evanston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Natrona County, they will face off against Rock Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
