Volleyball Recap: Mead Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Mt. Spokane + How To Watch

Mead faced Mt. Spokane in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Mead ultimately came up short, they really made Mt. Spokane work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24, 23-25, 25-19.

Mead's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3. As for Mt. Spokane, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mead will take on rival Lewis & Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mt. Spokane is set to square off against their familiar foe Shadle Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
