Calvary Baptist Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Sterlington Panthers. The Cavaliers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Kynzee Anderson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaycee Sledge was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 14 matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Loren Sivils, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.

Calvary Baptist Academy pushed their record up to 18-0 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.4 runs. As for Sterlington, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist Academy will be taking part in a tournament against West Monroe at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sterlington, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Sterlington Panthers duke it out with Bentonville Tigers at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Bentonville 3.2, Sterlington 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
