Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Villa Angela-St. Joseph

Villa Angela-St. Joseph proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Lutheran West Longhorns 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since September 5, 2024.

Sydney Dunmire paced Villa Angela-St. Joseph's offense, picking up six kills. Dunmire got some help from Aziah Turner and her 12 assists. Dunmire was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Lutheran West still got an impressive performance from Nicole Bryda, who had nine digs and three aces. Bryda has been hot, having posted three or more aces the last five times she's played.
