Keystone had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Moniteau Warriors by a score of 4-3 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Chaz Renninger put in work no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Renninger was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Aidan Tharan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases. Drew Keth was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
