Basketball Game Preview: Minico Spartans vs. Jerome Tigers

The Minico Spartans will challenge the Jerome Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Minico is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Twin Falls just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 51-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Spartans have suffered against the Bruins since March 4, 2023.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Jerome duked it out with Burley on Wednesday. Jerome came out on top against Burley by a score of 61-52.

Jerome is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. Minico's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Minico beat Jerome 44-32 in their previous meeting on February 11th. Will Minico repeat their success, or does Jerome have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
