Football Recap: Noel Washington Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Laguna Beach + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Notre Dame (SO) had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took down the Laguna Beach Breakers 44-28. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Notre Dame (SO)'s victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noel Washington, who rushed for 84 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Washington a new career-high. Wyatt Brown was another key passer, throwing for 229 yards and one TD while completing 77.3% of his passes.

When it comes to explaining why Laguna Beach lost, don't look at Jack Hurst. Despite the final result, he threw for 413 yards and four touchdowns. 93 of those passing yards were hauled in by Charlie Christian.

Notre Dame (SO) now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Laguna Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame (SO) will look to defend their home field on Friday against Chino Hills at 7:00 p.m. Laguna Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
