Football Recap: Poplarville's Rushing Dominance Continues + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Poplarville walked away with it. They walked away with a 43-34 win over the Forest Bearcats on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tylan Keys was his usual excellent self, rushing for 195 yards and four touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 195 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Poplarville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 220 rushing yards in ten consecutive matchups.

Poplarville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Semaj Jamison and Trac Smith.

Poplarville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points over those games. As for Forest, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

As of now, neither Poplarville nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
