Soccer Recap: University's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact University can now relate to. They fell just short of the Covenant Christian Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. University were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior), but Covenant Christian's defense proved too tough.

University's goal came courtesy of Bruno Lukin, who's now up to 17 this season.

With the loss, University broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-6-2. As for Covenant Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-1-1 record this season.

University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Covenant Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Muncie Burris on the 15th.
