Suburban Christian - Gold recap Oct. 9, 2012

Wheaton Academy moved up to 253 from 290 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Suburban Christian - Gold. The Warriors were able to make the jump by beating St. Edward 12-7.

Aurora Central Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Guerin College Prep, 55-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Chargers.

Immaculate Conception's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dimitris Carr has thrown for 640 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Tim Hipskind has 12 catches for 294 yards. Carr also leads the league in rushing with 398 yards.

A big matchup in Suburban Christian - Gold this week will be when Walther Lutheran takes on Immaculate Conception. The Broncos are currently in fourth, while the Knights are in second.

Wheaton Academy and the Green Wave played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Wheaton Academy eventually emerging with a 12-7 victory.
