Baseball Recap: Abernathy Comes Up Short

Abernathy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-5 to the Brownfield Cubs.

Abernathy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Brownfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Abernathy will take on Christoval in a tournament on Thursday. As for Brownfield, they will welcome Crane at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup will give Crane their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
