Basketball Recap: Watersmeet Takes a Loss

Watersmeet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Baraga Vikings, falling 87-8. If the Nimrods were looking for revenge after losing 73-11 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Watersmeet's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Baraga, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Watersmeet will venture away from home to challenge Jeffers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Baraga, they will welcome Ewen-Trout Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ewen-Trout Creek will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Baraga surely won't give up without a fight.
