There's no place like home for Somerset, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Tates Creek Commodores with a sharp 9-2 win on Tuesday. This was payback for the Briar Jumpers, who suffered a 7-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Caynan Sizemore was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Griffin Loy was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Somerset's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Tates Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset will head out to square off against Wayne County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tates Creek, they will take on Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Eastern has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
