Softball Recap: Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Drops Season-High Score on Brown County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia). Everything went their way against the Brown County Hornets on Monday as they made off with a 22-2 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

Addilynn Tracy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, Mylee Tracy was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. That's the most triples she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucie Dion, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Brown County, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia will challenge Greenfield/Northwestern at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
