Preview: Manitou Springs vs. Valley
On Friday Valley take on Manitou Springs at 7:00 PM. Valley is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor with a 27-3 margin.
Last Thursday, Manitou Springs couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 7-56 to Salida. Manitou Springs were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-42.
Valley's win lifted them to 1-0 while Manitou Springs's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Valley can add another positive mark to their record or if Manitou Springs can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Valley's step.
