Softball Recap: Bartlett Comes Up Short

After flying high against Elmwood Park on Thursday, Bartlett came back down to earth. The Hawks came up short against the South Elgin Storm on Monday, falling 11-2. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Storm apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Bartlett's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for South Elgin, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bartlett is set to square off against their familiar foe Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Elgin will take on rival Aurora East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Storm's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while the Tomcats have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
