Volleyball Recap: Portola Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Portola was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Biggs last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Quincy Trojans on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

While Portola was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Quincy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-21.

Portola now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Quincy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-7-1 record this season.

Portola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Westwood on the 22nd. As for Quincy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
