Volleyball Recap: Durango Comes Up Short

Durango suffered their biggest defeat since April 2nd on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

While Durango ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-18.

Durango dropped their record down to 10-17 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Sierra Vista, their win bumped their record up to 16-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Durango will take on Mojave at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sierra Vista, they will square off against Shadow Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Mountain Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
