Recap: Buchholz Bobcats vs. Santa Fe Raiders
The Buchholz Bobcats posted their biggest win since November 27, 2023 on Wednesday. They blew past Santa Fe, posting a 70-26 victory at home. Given Buchholz's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Santa Fe is ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jamison Cardwell, who scored 26 points. Another player making a difference was Tionna Wilkinson, who scored 11 points.
Buchholz pushed their record up to 9-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Santa Fe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Buchholz won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bishop Kenny at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Bishop Kenny has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Santa Fe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
