DeForest is 8-2 against Waunakee since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Norskies will welcome the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for DeForest and five for Waunakee.

Watertown hit DeForest with a eight-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Norskies lost 13-3 to the Goslings.

Meanwhile, Waunakee came up short against Milton on Tuesday and fell 6-3.

Waunakee got a good showing from Zaria Hyman, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Waunakee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryla Ripp, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Audra Ubersox also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

DeForest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Waunakee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

DeForest beat Waunakee 5-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Norskies repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
