Basketball Game Preview: Mount Morris Blue Devils vs. Perry Yellowjackets

The Mount Morris Blue Devils will challenge the Perry Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mount Morris got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Pavilion 54-51.

Perry played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They came out on top against Keshequa by a score of 56-48. That looming 56-48 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Yellowjackets yet this season.

Mount Morris has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Perry, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Mount Morris was able to grind out a solid victory over Perry in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 55-47. Does Mount Morris have another victory up their sleeve, or will Perry turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
