Recap: Checotah Wildcats vs. Stilwell Indians
The Checotah Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 79-27 loss at the hands of Stilwell. Checotah has struggled against Stilwell recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Stilwell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Prairie Holmes, who scored 13 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Holmes hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley Johnson, who scored ten points along with five assists and five steals.
Checotah's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Stilwell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Checotah will be playing at home against Eufaula at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stilwell on the road again on Saturday and play against Idabel at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. Idabel is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
