Football Game Preview: Winslow Township Eagles vs. Millville Thunderbolts

The Winslow Township Eagles will face off against the Millville Thunderbolts at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Winslow Township is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 47-7 victory over Shawnee. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on eight straight.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Jalen Parker and Cole Anderson. Parker had a great game and threw for 290 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes. Meanwhile, Anderson was balling out in the loss, rushing for 104 yards on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 111 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Millville got themselves on the board against Northern Burlington on Friday, but Northern Burlington never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Greyhounds 42-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Thunderbolts' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 120th).

Millville's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Winslow Township, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Everything came up roses for Winslow Township against Millville in their previous matchup back in September, as the squad secured a 49-6 victory. In that matchup, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 20-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
